Yeah, today has been okay and the past few weeks, hectic. I'm here today though with an update! Yay! Just keep in mind that I'm still open to suggestions (I've incorporated all ideas that have been presented to me in my story, some way some how) and might actually take entire character ideas! So, feel free!

I looked on the stand. There was a storybook just sitting there. I picked it up and sat down on the stage, not caring what the four people in the front row thought.
“Would you care to read that to us?” The girl with grey eyes asked me.
“Isn't that part of your power?”
“I have no clue.”
“You don't know.”
“Nope.” The girl turned to the other three. I didn't hear much of their conversation, but I caught the first part, which was “Are you sure this is the right girl?” I didn't mind them and kept reading the book. It didn't occur to me to check what book it was until halfway into the third chapter. Yes, five minutes and halfway through three pretty long chapters. I looked at the cover. The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. This must have been from Earth, but it was still pretty good. I flipped back to my page and kept reading. Ten minutes later, the pink-haired lady was calling my name.
“Raina? Hello?”
“Huh? Oh, yes 'mam?”
“You may go.”
“Oh, okay. May I take the book with me?” They all looked at each other and shrugged.
“I don't see why not.”
“Thanks! Bye!” I hopped up and walked off the stage, still reading the book. The bell rang and I knew my alchemy class was over. Thank Annadochi.

It was lunch, but I wasn't looking forward to it. People from Alchemy would be asking what I did. I sat outside (which is not normally where I sit) and read. This book was rather interesting. I was so immersed in my book that when I felt a hand on my shoulder, I squealed.
“Wow, that's never happened before!”
“Oh, Sulfur, it's just you.”
“What do you mean just me? I thought I was your best friend!”
“That's not what I meant!” I laughed. He sat down next to me, so I closed my book and looked at him. Like always after Alchemy, his hair was everywhere and his grey eyes sparkled.
“Then what did you mean? Wait, what are you reading? I've never seen this book before.”
“It's a book that they gave me at my test. I guess it has something to do with my family curse. It's really good. It's about these Shadowhunters and-”
“Well, don't spoil it. I want to borrow it soon! Looks like I might be able to. You're already three-fourths of the way through it!”
“I am. I guess you can borrow it. An hour. I guess that's a new record!”
“I guess so!” We laughed for a while and then we went and got lunch. Inside was loud, but not the normal kind of loud. Everyone was up and dancing to music. It was blaring over the intercom system. Sulfur looked at me with a questioning look. I simply just shrugged and made my way over to the line. It was tricky, ever changing maze. Once I finally got over to get my lunch, I looked back to see Sulfur being pulled away by some girls. I giggled and went to go rescue him. It wasn't all to hard but I got a few complaints from the girls.
“Sorry ladies, but your favorite alchemists needs to eat before he goes dancing.”
“Aw, can't he dance for one song?”
“Afraid not. He needs food as much as the next person.”
“Oh, alright, but after lunch you're dancing with us!” The twins exclaimed. The last we saw of them was their light brown hair disappearing into the crowd. I laughed aloud as I dragged Sulfur out of the crowd. He looked relieved.
“Thanks Raina. I don't know what I would do without you today,” he laughed
“You would be stuck dancing and not getting to eat,” I laughed back. We went through the line, carefully avoiding being ran over by people running by. I finally recognized what song it was. It was songs from Earth that everyone had grown up with. “Light 'Em Up” by Fall Out Boy and then “Centuries” by the same band. I listened and realized that what was playing over the speakers was just the track without the lyrics. I put my lunch down on a nearby table and stood up on another.
“Raina! What are you doing? Get down from there!” Sulfur yelled at me. He tried to grab my arm and pull me off but I just shook his hand off. I looked over everyone to figure out who was singing; someone obviously was. I jumped down from the table I was currently on and hopped up onto a different one. I repeated this process several times until I found them. It was my old pal Pyretta. She was dressed as pirate and on the small debate team stage, singing to her heart's content. I jumped off the table and went back to grab my lunch. It wasn't there, but neither was Sulfur. I decided to go outside to look for him. He was there on the steps with my lunch next to him. He had my book in his hands and was reading it. I decided to creep up behind him.
“What are you doing?” I said. He jumped and looked at me. I laughed as I sat down next to him and started eating. He eventually joined my laughter.

The bell rang and everyone in the cafeteria hurried to gather their things. I went over to Pyretta and helped get her equipment together. Sulfur came over and helped us. It took about ten minutes to get everything. The tardy bell rang, but we didn't care. I could go into Predictology halfway through and the teacher wouldn't even blink an eye.
“Hey, thanks Raina. It's been awhile. Thank you too, Sulfur.”
“It's nothing. What have you been up to?”
“Since fourth grade? Oh geez, so much. Main thing is I've grown from all my old friends and am kind of a loner now.”
“Well, your always welcome to come hang out with me and Sulfur.”
“Even after what happened in fourth grade? I thought you would hate me after that fiasco.”
“Oh, trust me, for a while I did, but I grew past that once I saw the real you. The one on the stage at the sixth grade talent show and the one in the cafeteria bringing back two old songs that no one had heard in forever. You're talented so just keep it up!”
“Oh, well, geez, I don't know what to say. Thanks Raina.” Pyretta blushed. She grabbed her cases and started walking down the hall. She smiled and waved at us before running down the hall.

Like I said, the Predictology teacher was rather laid back and never cared when we came in (he always said that he predicted that people would never want to go to class but did anyway just for the grade). The day's lesson was just reviewing observation techniques which Sulfur and I had already mastered them. We sat down in the back and I kept reading my book. I was completely oblivious as to what was going on around me until someone threw a ball of paper at me that bounced off my head.
“H-hey! What was that for?” I said looking up. There were three people turned around looking at me. I knew immediately what they wanted and closed my book, sighing.
“So, what did you do to get in trouble? Did you blow something up while doing the Alchemy homework last night?”
“Then, what did you do?”
“I wasn't in trouble. I was taking a test.”
“What kinda of test?”
“A test. I'm not saying anything else.” I promised them. I found myself wishing I wasn't even at school anymore and decided to put my head down and close my eyes for an few minutes. When I finally decided to look up, I found myself at the old schoolhouse with my book in my lap. I looked around confused. I hadn't gotten up, much less walked out of class and went here. I grabbed my book, stood up and started walking back to school. I wished to be back in class with Sulfur and blinked. Again, I wasn't where I last thought I was. No, this time when I opened my eyes, I walked straight into and fell over my desk.
“Ow, that hurt;” I said rubbing my leg. The teacher turned around from the chalkboard and looked straight at me, who was still on the floor.
“What is going on?”
“I walked into my desk.”
“Because it appeared out of nowhere.”
“Miss Raina, be sensible. That desk does NOT have that ability. Especially if you were sitting down at it.”
“But she was until she disappeared!” One of the girls asking me about my call out of Alchemy spoke up.
“She did disappear! Then, she appeared in the middle of the aisle and walked straight into her desk!” Another girl spoke up. I looked up at them and then back at my teacher. He calmed down a bit, waved us off and went back to the lesson. I stood up, brushed my dress off and sat back down in my seat. Sulfur turned and looked at me with a concerned expression. I didn't care. I just put my head back down and listened to the people around me trying to talk to me. I completely ignored them, even Sulfur. As soon as the bell rang, I ran out of class and out of the school. School was pretty much over for me anyway.

“Raina! Raina! Would you stop and listen to me? Raina!” Sulfur pleaded as he ran after me. I didn't stop. I ran past the old schoolhouse and hid behind it. I saw him run past me and then I turned around and ran the other way. While Sulfur knew most of my hiding spots, he didn't know all of them. I ran towards the Dreamlight Memorial Park and went to the center of the entire park. There was a huge oak tree and so I stopped, climbed up into it, sat down on a high branch and cried. My life has just been turned upside down in a matter of minutes. I never thought this would happen to me. What other powers might I have? I didn't know and didn't want to know. I sat there for over four hours, almost falling asleep. There wasn't any danger of falling, as it was rather flat at the base. It wasn't until I heard my name ringing through the park that I decided to move.
“Raina, where are you darling?” A female voice called. I groaned, but not too loudly. It was that same pink-haired girl from before. I moved a little bit and moved higher into the tree. I did NOT need anything else messing with me from this messed up day.
“Rosa, she probably won't respond to us! She's had a really bad day from what I've heard.”
“But, she's our daughter, Gavin! Why should I give up?”
“Because we have Savina and Gerene! We couldn't keep her in our time! It was too dangerous!”
“I don't care! She's still my daughter and I want to see her!” By this time, I had moved to where I could see them. Rosa, Gavin, Savina and Gerene? They were the famed family from centuries back. Rosa and Gavin saved Princess Sarahfina from certain death, saved Dreamlight from certain destruction the first time it threatened and fulfilled a prophecy. Savina and Gerene were their children, who were the first to discover a possible threat to the world and helped delay it for millions of years. There was no way those were my parents. I watched them for a while as they came closer to my hiding spot. I quickly gathered that the pink-haired lady was named Rosa and the silver-haired man was Gavin. They came and sat down right by the trunk of the tree. I could see tears streaming down Rosa's cheeks and Gavin was trying to comfort her.
“Rosa, she doesn't even know us. Don't you think we've scared her enough?”
“You haven't scared me at all.” I decided to say. They looked up at me after both jumping a bit.
I climbed down a few more branches before jumping out of the tree completely. They looked at me with astonishment as I came to sit next to them.
“W-we haven't?”
“No. The thing that's scared me today was me teleporting out of class today and then back into it.”
“Wait, what?” Rosa laughed a bit. I smiled at her and told her the entire story. They both listened intently. Afterward, Rosa explained why I was where I was. It turned out that the “lost child” of Dreamlight was me. They had to get me out of Dreamlight because the new prophecy of Dreamlight foretold that the third child of famed heroes would destroy them all. At the time the new prophecy had been found, they were famous, had the two twins and Rosa was pregnant.

Does anyone ever actually read this? I'm just kinda curious because no one ever says anything... Oh, well, even if no one reads these, it still helps me just say random things and not be judged! I'm also doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and I'm determined to finish!
